ABOUT
Agora is a unique event from The Economist Educational Foundation, taking place on the 13th of November 2020.
This year, students will explore whistleblowing and national security. Agora connects hundreds of young people from across the UK through an immersive live experience that puts them at the heart of an evolving news story.
- Hear a range of arguments from different perspectives
- Discuss and debate the story in their classrooms, as it unfolds
- Share their ideas here, in a UK-wide discussion
- Collectively decide on how the story progresses
At the end of the day, it’s the young people who have the power. They’ll make a judgement about whether a whistleblower should be punished for leaking classified information.
